We were "introduced" to a restaurant called The Leaning Pear while serving the congregation in Wimberley, TX. (For those of you who have a Spiced Pear in your town, that's the name that kept sticking in my head, but now I have it right). This place is really cute!
Across from the picnic table is a covered patio with outdoor dining too (which I haven't got to do yet). Today we met a couple there for lunch and I had an amazing salad!!! It was called Hill Country Cobb with grilled chicken, avocado, bacon, jicama, monterey jack cheese and southwestern ranch dressing. Not sure what in particular made it so yummy, but everything was super fresh and they grow their own herbs on-site.
We don't get there often (30-40 minutes from here), but that makes it special every time. Definitely putting it on my list of favorite restaurants to take visitors to. (For those who have already been here - the reason we didn't make it here is because we went to Fredericksburg instead.)
