Dumpster Diver?

Just a quick story before I start posting pictures later today (just found the memory stick adapter this morning so I can transfer pictures from my camera to my computer). Anyhow....

Towards the end of the move, you know how you typically run out of boxes and just have a few more things left to pack, so you grab whatever is around that will work? In this case, Jim grabbed a big black plastic garbage bag - great idea in a pinch. Last night he's looking for the bag as it has his work clothes in it.

Uh oh - no bag to be found.  He comes and asks me if I've seen it - to which I respond, "what bag?"

I call my brother-in-law, who says, "Oh yeah, we have 2-3 bags up here on our porch that Pam is going to take to the dumpster where she works." In further conversation, I find out that the bag Jim needs is not there - it was already taken to the dumpster and will be picked up early the next day. Oops....  My sister calls back and says the dumpster won't be picked up until Wednesday morning, so I tell Jim and that was the end of the conversation.

Jump to this morning....   A few minutes ago Jim calls and proudly says, "I FOUND IT." It took me a few seconds to realize what he was talking about, but my very next question was, "Did you have to dive in?"  He said, "Yup - I'm a dumpster diver now!"  : )

By the way, Pam tells me that the guys she works with always do that. They'll go missing and she can't find them, and all of the sudden she'll see a head pop up from the dumpster. So I'm choosing to believe it's not all that gross if they do it on a regular basis. Let me live in my bubble on this, okay?  : o
